Super Exciting Insurgent News!

I just watch the Insurgent movie trailer that was released today (!!!) and now I’m even more anxious for March 20th to get here. I remember the book being full of a lot of events, but not this action-packed. Anyway, it seems like the movie may even be better than the book. (How is this even possible? :O ) All I can say is that I can’t wait; I’m so excited!

Get excited for the Insurgent movie too:

Fun With Four: Part 8

four and tris

“You Look Good, Tris”

Veronica Roth

Rate: 5

Sadly, we’re at the end of the Fun With Four series. 😥 Fortunately, this last scene was really good so it ends on a high note. This is by no means an end to Four or an end of my love for Four, but there is (for now at least) no more stories to analyze to learn more about him. I really enjoyed writing these reviews though. Now on to the review!

Fun With Four: Part 7

“Careful, Tris”

Veronica Roth

Rate: 3

As predicted with a small scene, I learned so little. Admittedly, I’m writing this review long after reading this scene and I didn’t take good notes this time so I’m not completely sure how I felt about this scene when I first read it. I’m just going to assume that it wasn’t too eventful since I don’t remember it. Sorry if I’m letting you down Four, but school comes first. Anyway, on with the show!

Fun With Four: Part 6

“First Jumper, Tris”

Veronica Roth

Rate: 4

Just when you thought that Fun With Four was over, it’s not. 🙂 The wonder Ms. Veronica Roth has gifted us with three extra scenes in Four’s POV at the end of Four: A Divergent Collection. The first scene, if you haven’t already guessed by the video, is about Tris being the first jumper. The only problem with such a short scene is that we don’t learn much about Four.

Fun With Four: Part 4

The Traitor

Veronica Roth

Rate: 4 😉

I’m a little disappointed with this short story. It’s about 80 pages long, but I don’t feel like I learned much about Four. Nonetheless, I gave the story a four (4) because I enjoyed how awkward Four was around Tris.

Here’s some things I learned about Four: (contains some spoilers)

Fun With Four: Part 3

The Son

Veronica Roth

Rate: 3.5

The Son was just as good as the other Divergent short stories before it. Of course, I learned more about beloved Four, which included a moment when Four behaved in a way that reminded me of myself.

Four: The Initiate

Veronica Roth

Rate: 3

The Initiate didn’t excite me as much as Free Four did, but nonetheless it was good. In this book, of course I learned more about Four, but some information, which honestly I don’t care about, was given about secondary characters like Eric, Zeke, etc.

Without further ado, here’s what I learned about Four: (contains some spoilers)

Free Four: Tobias Tells the Divergent Knife-Throwing Scene

Veronica Roth

Rate: 4

There are people who have read this retelling of the knife-throwing scene and said that there’s no point in reading it because everything happens the same, as it should, but you don’t learn anything new. This is wrong. The actions are the same, but the meaning and feelings behind them are different. For example, as most of us already know, Tris thought Four purposely cut her ear just to hurt her, but he was actually trying to protect her. This is one of the differences you see when reading the same scene in different points of view.

Fun With Four: Part 1

So I’m slowly making my way through the Divergent short stories told in Four’s perspective. At first, I was just going to do one compilation post of all the stories, but then I became worried that people wouldn’t know when I updated the post so I decided to start the mini-series Fun With Four that way I can review each short story and know that people will be aware that I’ve added more. I intend to go in order (The Transfer; The Initiate; The Son; The Traitor; Free Four), but if that doesn’t happen, then I address it in that particular post. Without further ado, I give you the first installation of Fun With Four:
